Washington Wizards to hold open practice at Morgan State University on Monday

(WEAA) — The Washington Wizards are coming back to Baltimore!

The NBA team, once known as the Baltimore Bullets, will hold an open practice at Morgan State University on Monday, October 11.

Dr. Edward Scott, Vice President and Director of Athletics at MSU says the Wizards made the decision in hopes of building their fan base and connecting with Baltimore residents.

Morgan State University students, faculty and local fans will be able to enjoy the open practice and scrimmage, Wizards Dancers and G-Wiz the mascot.

Officials with the Wizards say the first 500 fans will receive a limited edition T-shirt.

Practice will begin at 11:30 am at the Hill Field House.

This event marks the first open practice the team has held at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
