COVID-19 in Maryland: 2,302 new cases, 20 more deaths

( BALTIMORE, MD) As of Monday morning, Maryland health officials say 217,329 positive cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the state. 

Data shows 2,302 cases have been added since Sunday morning. 

According to officials, 4,705 people have died from the virus. Records show, 20 deaths have been added since Sunday morning. 

Recently, Maryland officials reported the first coronavirus-related death of a child under the age of 10. 

The statewide positivity rate is now 7.89%.
