(Baltimore, MD) -- Opening arguments by attorneys in the federal mortgage fraud trial of Baltimore City's former state's attorney Marilyn Mosby are set for today.
The 44-year-old Mosby is accused of lying on her loan applications in the purchase of two vacation homes in Florida to hide tax debt and secure a lower interest rate.
Mosby has pleaded not guilty. A separate jury in November found Mosby guilty of perjury, and sentencing for that case will occur after the mortgage fraud trial concludes.
