Stories of Domestic Abuse: Impact on survivors, children

(WEAA)—Domestic violence, also known as "domestic abuse”, is defined as violent or aggressive behavior within the home, typically involving a spouse or partner.

Abuse is physical, sexual, emotional, economic or psychological actions or threats of actions that influence another person.

Lenora Yancey, author of Broken Wings joins Two Way Talk to share her harrowing story of abuse and her journey as a survivor. 

 

  Terri Johnson, a licensed certified clinical social worker joins the show to discuss the effects domestic abuse has on children who are exposed to the violence.
