Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is celebrating the removal of a hulking container ship just under eight weeks after the deadly collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.

Someone with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that the massive container ship that caused the deadly collapse of a Baltimore bridge experienced apparent electrical issues before it left the port.

The Key Bridge was located approximately 10 miles south of Morgan State University’s campus and for many students, it was part of their daily commute.
