Making Black America | Black history discussion with Baltimore City high school students

(WEAA)—On Friday, students from Baltimore City Neighbors High School joined WEAA and MPT for a viewing and discussion around the documentary series, Making Black America, which chronicles the vast social networks and organizations created by and for Black people.

The event was held at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore.

The young scholars reflected on the documentary, described what Black history means to them, and shared their interpretations of "Black joy".

The students were also provided a guided tour of the museum to learn more about African American history and culture.

Baltimore native, Micarie Kemp has always been passionate about working in the media.
