Two officers shot, suspect killed in Northeast Baltimore

The U.S. Marshals service has confirmed that two police officers-- one from Baltimore County and the other from Baltimore City, were shot Wednesday in Northeast Baltimore.

According to spokesman David Lutz, one officer was injured in the leg and the other in the stomach. Lutz says the officers with the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force were working on an attempted murder warrant. The officers were called to Radecke and Cedonia Avenues in the Frankford neighborhood shortly after noon.  Both officers were transported to Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
