Killings of unarmed Black men; National Youth Violence Prevention Week

(BALTIMORE, MD) —During the murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, a former police officer and use-of-force expert said Chauvin’s actions were justified. 

Farajii Muhammad and callers discuss the latest developmentsin the trial as well as the recent shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, another unarmed Black man killed by police. 

This week is also National Youth Violence Prevention Week. 

 

Aisha Burgess, Director of School-Based Violence Prevention at the Baltimore City Health Department’s Office of Youth and Trauma Services joins Farajii to share how families and community members can assist in stopping youth violence.
