An investigation is underway into the bizarre discovery of an old coffin in the middle of Hampden's Wyman Park.
A woman on a hike with her dog made the discovery earlier this week and called police.
The coffin, believed to be more than a century-old, had a silver plaque attached to it identifying the remains of eighteen-year-old Mathilda Lorenz who died in 1882.
Investigators are trying to determine if the coffin is real or some type of prop that was dropped off in the middle of the park.
