Officials: Smoke clearing in Maryland

(Baltimore, MD) -- The air is improving across Maryland.

The Maryland Department of the Environment has revised the air quality forecast to moderate, or yellow, for Western, Southern and Central Maryland as smoke from Canadian wildfires is clearing up.

The forecast for the Eastern Shore remains unhealthy for sensitive groups, meaning young children, older adults and people with heart and lung conditions should limit their time outdoors.

The air quality forecast is always available at airnow.gov.
