(Baltimore, MD) -- Morgan State's Magnificent Marching Machine is heading to D.C. to perform at the White House’s Inaugural Juneteenth Celebration Concert this evening.
The event, which will be a celebration of community, culture and music, will be held on the South Lawn at 7 o'clock.

It's the latest honor for the HBCU band. Earlier this month, the university announced the band has been invited to perform in the D-Day 80 Normandy Parade taking place on June 6, 2024, in Normandy, France.
The White House celebration is supported by: National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Pernod Ricard USA, STARZ #TaketheLead Initiative and The Recording Academy and will feature:
