Thurgood Marshall portrait to be unveiled Thursday at City Hall

(Baltimore, MD) -- A portrait of Baltimore native Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Supreme Court justice, will be unveiled in a ceremony today at City Hall.

Mayor Brandon Hall will join community leaders at 2:15 pm in the Baltimore City Hall Rotunda.

The portrait will remain in the rotunda until next June.

Among other achievements, Marshall was instrumental in the movement to end racial segregation in public schools.

He would have been 115 years old this year.
