The National Weather Service says "feels-like" temperatures will reach up to 111 degrees both today and tomorrow.
The warning covers parts of central, northern and southern Maryland, including Baltimore City and Washington, DC.
Forecasters say the extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for anyone working outside or participating in outdoor activities.
