Maryland records four cold-related deaths so far this year

(Baltimore, MD) -- The cold weather is blamed for at least four deaths in Maryland so far this winter season.

The state health department reports all of the deaths have involved men.

Three were in the 65 and older age group and one was in the 18 to 44 category.

The deaths occurred in Baltimore City and Baltimore, Frederick and St. Mary's counties.

There were 51 cold-related deaths in Maryland last winter season.
