(Sterling, VA) -- Winter weather alerts are posted for all of Maryland except for the lower Eastern Shore.
The entire region received a dusting of snow this morning and another round is expected to continue into the overnight hours.
The National Weather Service says most areas will see two to four inches of accumulation.
Far Western Maryland is under a Winter Storm Warning for up to eight inches of snow and a light glaze of ice is possible along with the snow in Southern Maryland.
