Baltimore's Annual Spring Clean-up, Community Day of Service set for April 27

(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore's Annual Spring Clean-up and day of service will be held on April 27.

Mayor Brandon Scott is encouraging residents, volunteer groups, and community associations to register nowto be part of the city-wide effort to beautify neighborhoods.

“Not only is this an opportunity to make our communities healthier and cleaner as the weather warms, it’s also an opportunity to strengthen bonds between neighbors and residents who love Charm City. When we work together, we create stronger neighborhoods and a stronger Baltimore, " said Mayor Brandon M. Scott.

Volunteers and organizations are encouraged to register their cleaning activities by calling 311.

Through this registration process, participants can request City trucks to visit their designated locations and collect any debris present.

No household bulk trash will be collected, and roll-off dumpsters will not be distributed as part of this year's cleanup.

“The Mayor’s Spring Cleanup reinforces the importance of a strong partnership with the community members and volunteers is essential to creating clean and healthy neighborhoods,” said Acting DPW Director Khalil Zaied. “Every year, this event helps further connect the community with their DPW workers and the vital services they provide. DPW is constantly working to strengthen our connection to neighborhoods across the city, and this event demonstrates what can be accomplished when residents from across the city come together.”

The event will run from 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
