(Baltimore, MD) -- More than 250 Ring Doorbell cameras have now been installed in Baltimore's Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello community.
The security program was made possible by Maryland's Department of Housing and Community Development's Community Health and Safety Works program.
Community leaders say the initiative creates an added layer of security to let lawbreakers know that residents are vigilant in the effort to deter crime.
Building a safer, stronger Baltimore takes intentional investment and collaboration. Proud to see over 250 Ring cameras installed in Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello, backed by a $100K grant. This initiative empowers families, elevating the sense of community security and unity in Northeast Baltimore. Together, we’re strengthening our neighborhoods and setting a powerful example of what’s possible when resources meet purpose. - Senator Cory McCray
The camera program provides grants to local governments and nonprofits to help neighborhoods with crime prevention measures.
