(Maryland) —Some Maryland State Parks will be requiring visitors to make reservations.
The Maryland Park Service says the new Day-Use Reservation System will go live for Sandy Point State Park and Greenbriar State Park on May 19th and other parks will follow later in the season.
This new system requires all visitors to reserve their day-use passes in advance during peak times.
The new system aims to reduce overcrowding, limit traffic backups at park entrances, reduce the frequency of capacity closures, and ensure that every visitor knows they have a space before arriving.
More details are available on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources website.
