(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore Police have released body-worn camera footage of the June 25th officer-involved shooting that claimed the life of a 70-year-old woman.
Pytorcarcha Brooks was shot in the 2700 block of Mosher Street after she pulled a knife on officers during a behavioral health crisis.
The video shows police entering the home and attempting to de-escalate the situation, but their efforts did not work and a taser was deployed but it was ineffective.
Brooks was shot after an officer fell down and she raised the knife and charged at him.
The officer who fired the shots is on paid administrative leave and the Attorney General's Independent Investigations Division continues to review the case.
