(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore will be putting Naloxone boxes at the Penn North Metro Station after three mass overdose incidents in the neighborhood over the past four months.
Baltimore is partnering with the Maryland Transit Administration for the overdose prevention initiative.
Naloxone is a medicine that can reverse an opioid overdose and save lives and it's effective for a number of drugs including heroin, morphine, oxycodone and fentanyl.
Mayor Brandon Scott and community advocates will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the boxes this morning.
