(Howard County, MD) -- Howard County police say a woman reported missing on January 2nd was found dead in her ex-boyfriend's apartment in Columbia.
Twenty-six-year-old Arjun Sharma made the missing person report, saying he last saw 27-year-old Nikitha Godishala in his apartment on Twin Rivers Road December 31st.
Police say later that day, Sharma left the country on a flight to India.
On Saturday detectives carried out a search warrant on the apartment and found Godishala dead with stab wounds.
Howard County police are working with United States federal law enforcement to locate and arrest Sharma.
