(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore City has launched its first payment plan program for past-due real property taxes.
Mayor Brandon Scott says the program gives eligible residential property owners a flexible way to catch up on their past-due taxes through manageable monthly payments.
The mayor says overdue property tax bills should never be the reason that any Baltimorean loses their home.
He says before now, residents didn't have a realistic way to catch up on the bills and stay in their homes and this program changes that.
Eligible residents are encouraged to enroll in a plan by May 12th.
