Annapolis residents to vote for a new mayor today

(Annapolis, MD) -- Residents in Annapolis will be voting in the city's municipal election today to select a new mayor and aldermen.

In the mayor's race, Republican Bob O'Shea is facing Democrat Jared Littmann.

O'Shea is an upstate New York native who moved to the city in 2000 and Littmann has lived in the city since 2010 and previously served as a Ward 5 alderman.

Candidates are running for aldermen in the city's eight Wards.

In Ward 4, Democrat Janice Elaine Allsup-Johnson is running unopposed, and Democrat Rob Savidge is unopposed in Ward 7.

The polls and drop boxes will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
