(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore police are investigating an officer-involved shooting after a stolen Kia struck a patrol officer responding to an attempted break-in on West Lombard Street early Sunday morning.
Investigators say the car was driven by a 14-year-old girl, while two 14-year-old boys were also inside.
All three teens now face aggravated assault and auto theft charges.
Detectives say before the girl was arrested on Tuesday, officers learned she had been treated at a hospital for a wrist injury that is believed to be a gunshot graze wound from the officer's single shot at the fleeing vehicle.
Officer William Cole suffered an ankle injury during the incident, and the department's Special Investigations Response Team is reviewing the case.
