BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — More than 2.7 million people in Maryland have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
State health officials say 67.6% of residents over the age of 18 have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
On Thursday, Governor Larry Hogan announced a new incentive called ‘Vax Cash’ in an effort to get more Marylanders vaccinated.

As of Friday morning, the Maryland Department of Health reports an increase of 443 new cases within 24 hours.
Virus-related hospitalizations continue to drop. Currently, 521 patients are hospitalized due to the coronavirus.
The state’s positivity rate is 2.07%.
Data shows, 14 more virus-related deaths have been reported.
