Ravens host PLAY 60 All-Ability Football Clinic at Morgan State University

(WEAA)— On Monday, the Baltimore Ravens hosted their fourth-annual PLAY 60 All-Ability Football Clinic with participants from Special Olympics Maryland.

The fun-filled program was held at Hughes Memorial Stadium located on Morgan State University’s campus.

The NFL’s PLAY 60 campaign encourages people to be active for at least 60 minutes a day in an effort to reverse the trend of childhood obesity.

Individuals from Special Olympics Maryland engaged in football drills and other athletic activities with Ravens players and cheerleaders under the instruction of USA Football master trainer Tom LaNeve.

"Today we are really excited to be back with the Special Olympics of Maryland. We are really excited because we haven't been able to conduct this event obviously since pre-COVID 2019. As you can see the athletes are really excited and we're really happy to be back in the community and be able to execute this event for them," said Briana Vaughn, Community Relations Manager for the Baltimore Ravens.

The event was held from 4-6 p.m.
