BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Multiple gravestones at a Jewish cemetery in Baltimore were vandalized with swastikas over the Fourth of July weekend.

Baltimore City Councilman Zeke Cohen and other local leaders gathered Friday to condemn the hateful acts and to restore unity in the community. 


Zeke Cohen joins Antony McCarthy and Cara Williams to address the matter.

Marylanders have two weeks to indulge in culinary delights from different food trucks around the state. 


Chefs from Money Muscle BBQ and Shareef’s Grill join Anthony McCarthy and Cara Williams to talk about the food truck industry and to share the delicious dishes locals can expect. 


Maryland Food Truck Week runs from July 9th - July 25th, 2021. 

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Sha’Carri Richardson, the United States sprinter, will not compete in the Tokyo Olympics. 


The decision comes after the American sprinter tested positive for marijuana.


Richardson was initially given a 30-day suspension that would have ended before the start of the relays on Aug. 5.

But that changed when her name was missing from the 130-person roster USA Track and Field released on Tuesday.

BALTIMORE, MD ( WEAA) — Family, friends and supporters filled a local restaurant Tuesday evening to celebrate Anthony McCarthy’s return to WEAA 88.9FM. 

Smiles, laughter and cheers filled the reception, held by the restaurant’s owners Kevin Brown and Bill Mauglin. 

Anthony, who previously hosted a show on 88.9 called “The Anthony McCarthy Show” is now the co-host of the station’s newest talk show called Two Way Talk. 

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Two Way Talk is WEAA’s newest talk show.

The evening program which airs Monday-Friday from 5-7, is hosted by Anthony McCarthy, former spokesman for Baltimore City mayors and Cara Williams, a former Baltimore City police officer and current senior at Morgan State University. 

In the first hour, former Mayor Sheila Dixon, joins the hosts to discuss Baltimore crime and how under her administration, the city was able to bring homicide numbers down.
