Poll: Marylanders prefer Hogan In U.S. Senate race

(Washington, DC) -- A new poll shows Maryland voters favor former Republican Governor Larry Hogan for the state's open U.S. Senate seat.

The Washington Post-University of Maryland poll found voters prefer Hogan over both of his potential Democratic competitors, Congressman David Trone and Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks.

The poll shows voters would support Hogan over Trone 49% to 37% and Hogan over Alsobrooks, 50% to 36%.

In the Democratic primary, Trone leads Alsobrooks by seven points. The poll also found Marylanders prefer a Democratically-controlled U.S. Senate.
