(Baltimore, MD) -- Mayor Brandon Scott is awarding grant money to Baltimore nonprofit groups.
Mayor Scott gave out a second round of American Rescue Plan Act grants to organizations serving families, youth, and vulnerable communities.
The awards totaled more than $6.5 million to deserving groups.
The money comes one month after the Scott administration awarded nine nonprofits with grants totaling more than $7 million.
According to City Hall, Baltimore has provided support to nonprofits through other initiatives including the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act.
The city is expected to make several additional funding announcements in the coming months.
