(Baltimore, MD) -- There is a new name for a portion of Lyndhurst Street in west Baltimore.
Congrats to Mrs Cynthia Shaw, president of the Lyndhurst Community Association, for all she has done to work with Baltimore city officials to get Lyndhurst street-where Elijah lived from 6th-12th grades-named “Elijah Cummings Way.” What a fabulous honor and a wonderful ceremony. pic.twitter.com/bcMZjeiaq8

The community turned out over the weekend for a renaming ceremony changing the name of the street to Elijah Cummings Way in honor of the late U.S. Congressman.
A number of city, state and federal government officials joined neighbors in the 600 block of Lyndhurst this weekend for the official renaming ceremony.
Honored to speak at the unveiling of Elijah Cummings Way - the street renaming for our friend and public servant.

No matter how long the journey, cold the chill, or fierce the enemy, Elijah found a way to dare us to be different. pic.twitter.com/emViB1nf5k
