Baltimore Filmmaker To Get Star On Walk Of Fame

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Baltimore native and filmmaker John Waters is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Waters is best known as the director of "Pink Flamingos," "Female Trouble," and "Polyester," as well as his trademark pencil-thin mustache.

He achieved mainstream success with "Hairspray" which was adapted into a Tony award winning Broadway musical.

The director is also known as a best-selling author, fine artist, and performer of one-man shows.

Waters will be inducted next year on the Walk of Fame along with the Jonas Brothers, actor Vince Vaughn, actresses Uma Thurman, Ellen Pompeo, and others.
