20th Anniversary of Million Man March March Draws Young and Old
Two Morgan State University student reporters attended the twentieth anniversary of the Million Man March on Saturday, where African Americans from across the United States gathered to fight for social justice and an end to oppression.
Representatives from the Nation of Islam, grassroots level activists, and families converged on the National Mall on a picturesque day with clear blue skies.
The atmosphere was electric as speakers took the stage and spoke of the evils of racial and class-based oppression. Speakers called upon the assemblage and the world at large to resist apathy and rise up against injustice.
