The Baltimore City School system faces a budget deficit of nearly 130 million dollars. Baltimore City Schools CEO Sonja Santelises does not want a series of one time budget fixes, but instead hopes to work with state and local lawmakers and school communities to find long-term structural solutions. And, Morgan State University is partnering with Howard University on a new journalism program for high school students in undeserved Baltimore and D.C. neighborhoods.
