Baltimore Health commissioner Dr. Leana Wen signed a new standing order today, making naloxone available over the counter. Naloxone is an antidote that reverses the effects of opioides. And, a team of staffers trained in counseling methods will be meeting with Baltimore school district employees, who are receiving layoff notices today. 37 teachers will be losing their jobs.
