Baltimore County police says an arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for 40 year old Mussawwir M. Sterrett of Abingdon. Baltimore County Public Information Officer Jennifer Peach talked with WEAA's Julius White about what led to the  suspect's arrest.

Sterrett is charged with Prurient Intent (use a camera to secretly observe a private individual in a private place) and Peeping Tom and is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on denied bail status. Police say thanks to tips from the public, y citizens after this voyeur's image was publicly released. Investigators say Sterrett set up a "spy camera" in a White Marsh Mall restroom but unintentionally caught himself on camera, securing the camera to a stall partition. The camera was found by a patron in the family restroom of the food court area in White Marsh Mall around 6:30 p.m. on December 23. It was secured with electrical tape to a partition dividing two lavatory areas, pointing toward one of the facilities. The camera and recording equipment, including an SD card containing video footage, were turned over to police.

Upon reviewing the video footage officers were able to determine there were very few people caught on video, indicating the camera was there for only a short period of time.
