City police investigate four weekend shootings, 1 fatality

Baltimore police are investigating four shootings that all happened Sunday morning. Investigators say the firts shooting happened in the 600 block of Arsan Avenue around 1 a.m. in the Brooklyn neighborhood. Accordng to a tally of reported homicides, Baltimore City's homicides for 2018 so far, now stands  at 163.

According to a police report, officers responded to a report of a shooting. They found a 42-year old man with a gunshot wound to his arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The second shooting occurred in the 21-hundred block of Edgewood Street in Southwest Baltimore. In a written statement, Detective Jeremy Silbert said officers found a 52-year old man with a gunshot wound o his leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.  

The third happened just around 3:10 a.m. in Northeast Baltimore. Investigators say officers were on foot patrol when they heard gunshots in the 6100 block of Harford Road. A short time later, officers found a 22-year old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, Homicide detectives were called to the scene.

Police say fourth shooting is a homicide investigation. It happened in the 2100 block of Presbury Street on the city's West side around 5:15 Sunday morning. When officers arrived, they found a 28-year old man with gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. No word on the victim's identity. Police have shared a video of the suspect on their social media outlets and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
