Detectives determined that Gerrard Taylor and Dwayne Taylor (no relation to each other) had been involved in a physical altercation on a previous occasion and the shooting appears to have been retaliatory.
Investigators say Gerrard Taylor, 27, was the victim of a shooting in the 400 block of Avondale Road in Dundalk last Wednesday, March 27. Baltimore County Police were dispatched to the area for a report of gunfire just after 8 p.m. Taylor was found lying unconscious in the alley behind Avondale Road, he suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.
Taylor, of the 5900 block of Winter Avenue, 21215, was pronounced deceased at 6:02 p.m. on Friday, March 29, after being removed from life support at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
