Baltimore City extends hours for real estate transactions as ransomware attack continues

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Customer Support and Services Division’s hours at 200 Holliday Street are being extended on Monday, May 20, 2019, to assist customers trying to complete real estate transactions.

The new hours for Customer Support and Services Division for these transactions are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. The extended hours will remain in place until further notice.
The need to help people complete real estate transactions became clear in the days following the attack on Baltimore City government’s computer network.

Customers needing to make payments to complete the transactions may do so only with a certified check. The checks will be placed into a lockbox and entered into the City’s database once the computer network is restored.
