A Violent Monday in Baltimore Leaves Four Dead, Two Injured

Baltimore Police Detectives say the deadly violence included the fatal stabbing of a woman in the 64-hundred-block of Walther Avenue in Northeast Baltimore around 1p.m.A suspect is in custody in that case.  A short time later a man was shot and killed in the 800-block of West Lexington Street in West Baltimore and around 3:30 p.m., one person was shot and killed in Cherry Hill and two others were wounded.  Monday night, a man was shot and killed in the two-thousand-block of Griffis Avenue in Morrell Park.

Investigators say at approximately 1:06 p.m. Monday, Western District patrol officers responded to the 800 block of West Lexington Street for a report of a shooting. Once at the location, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

Southern District Homicide Investigation

According to a police statement, at approximately 3:33 P.M., officers responded to Roundview Road at Bethune Road for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers locate a 41 year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  A second victim, a 28 year-old male, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. This victim was transported to an area hospital and was listed in grave condition. While detectives were on this crime scene, a third victim, a 27 year-old male walked into an area hospital suffering gunshot wounds to his body. The victim is expected to survive his injuries.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On February 9, 2020 at approximately 10:40 P.M., officers responded to the unit block of York Court for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a shooting victim had been transported from that location to an area hospital. Officers then responded to that hospital and found a 29 year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck. The victim had been stabilized.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

Baltimore Police officers responded to the 2000 block of Griffis Avenue at approximately 8:13 p.m., for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified adult male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Medics pronounced the him dead on the scene.
