(SALISBURY, MD) – Maryland State Police say a 14-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night in Wicomico County.
According to troopers, the teen’s parents called police around 11:30 p.m. when their son did not return home after a walk.
Troopers conducted a search and found the boy unconscious on the shoulder of a roadway.
According to officials, evidence at the scene indicated the victim was struck by a white 2016 Cadillac Escalade with a temporary Delaware tag.
Officials say, the vehicle believed to be involved in the hit-and-run crash was found Monday afternoon on Merritt Mill Road but no one connected to the vehicle has been located.
Police continue to search for the driver involved.
