The Stories We Tell: Baltimore Visionaries -Episode 6- Black History

BALTIMORE, MD( WEAA) — Morgan State University's School of Global Journalism & Communication's Baltimore Reporting Report presents The Stories We Tell: Baltimore Visionaries.

In this episode, Dr. Kaye speaks with John Milton Wesley, author, musician and public information officer for the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights.

Mr. Wesley reflects on Black history, influential leaders in the Black community and transformative movements he watched unfold.  

“We didn’t know how long it would take to achieve the things that we were told were possible. We didn’t really know that the things they were telling us were possible, were really possible….We didn’t know what was going to happen but we believed the leaders who were telling us what to do.”
