BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Congressman Kweisi Mfume joins Two Way Talk to discuss the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG).
In July, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that the SVOG Program reached a new milestone of awarding more than $7.5 billion to more than 10,000 venues, including more than $130 million to more than 120 venues in Maryland.
Venues hit hard by the pandemic — including live venue operators, non-profits, museums, movie theaters, — will be able to use the funding to pay staff, reopen their doors and get back on their feet.
Yesterday, @RepKweisiMfume and I went to Baltimore to announce the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant.

The arts, non-profits, and venues have suffered greatly during the pandemic. This $16 billion grant will ensure that these organizations can continue to enrich our communities. pic.twitter.com/Hb32lUyRMc
