COVID-19 Latest: Maryland reports 702 new cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours

On Tuesday, Maryland health officials reported 702 new coronavirus cases have been since Monday morning.

According to the state's COVID-19 dashboard, seven more virus-related deaths have also been recorded.

Currently, 508 people are hospitalized due to complications from the virus. An increase of 16 patients in the last 24 hours.

The state's positivity rate is 3.38%.

Last week, Governor Larry Hogan announced that 99% of seniors have been vaccinated and the state surpassed 50,000 vaccinations for 5-11 year-olds.
