(WEAA)— WEAA 88.9-FM has received four nominations in the 2021 Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association (CAPBA) Contest.
The CAPBA is an organization composed of radio and television members of The Associated Press (AP) throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Delaware.
The public radio station was nominated for Outstanding Talk Show, Outstanding Editorial or Commentary, Outstanding Public Affairs, and Outstanding Website.
According to AP officials, twenty-seven news organizations submitted over 350 entries, which consisted of news, sports and web stories from 2021.

The awards will be announced at the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association Awards Banquet on Saturday, June 4 in Ocean City, Maryland.
