(Baltimore, MD) -- The fight for abortion access will continue at the state level.
That's a promise made by Senate President Bill Ferguson following today's Supreme Court ruling that overturns Roe v. Wade.
He called it a "distressing day for Americans." Ferguson says he anticipates many women will travel to Maryland in the coming weeks to seek the procedure.
While many may now question the future of reproductive rights in America, in Maryland, that right will always be protected and enshrined in State law. We will welcome those who seek care in our State.
