(Baltimore, MD) -- Over 70 monkeypox cases are confirmed in Maryland.
That's more than triple what it was since mid-July, according to the CDC.
Nationwide, there are nearly three-thousand confirmed cases.
Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches, exhaustion and a rash.
The outbreak has touched over 70 countries, prompting the World Health Organization to declare a global health emergency.
