Baltimore City Spending Board Ok's Half-a-Million Dollars In Police Misconduct Settlements

(Baltimore, MD) -- The Baltimore City spending board is devoting another $500,000 to settling police misconduct lawsuits.

The largest payout authorized yesterday was $275,000 to Ian Mansfield, a man who was in a Remington Avenue crosswalk when he was struck by an unmarked police vehicle driven by Officer Dwayne Dixon.

Another $130,000 was awarded to Jamaal Wilson who, in 2016, suffered a broken jaw at the hands of fired Officer Donald Gaff.

Actions of the now-disbanded Gun Trace Task Force were behind multiple other settlements.
