More Than 522K Marylanders Receive COVID Booster

(Baltimore, MD) -- Maryland health officials say more than 522,000 residents have received their bivalent booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The shot was made available in September and protects against two strains of the Omicron variant.

Marylanders over the age of five are eligible.

Health officials say close to 90 percent of the entire state has received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.
