(Towson, MD) -- Officials with Baltimore County Public Schools have scheduled a series of community meetings beginning next week in their search for their next superintendent.
Board chairwoman Jane Lichter says they hired a search firm this month and are on schedule to have a new superintendent in place by July.
Members of the BCPS community are invited to participate in upcoming public forums from March 21-23, regarding the national search for a new superintendent. The meetings will be hosted by executive search firm McPherson and Jacobson LLC.

The new superintendent will succeed Darryl Williams, who announced earlier this year he would not seek a second term.
His contract runs out the end of June. The meetings will be held at five high schools and one middle school.
