(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott is confirming the head of the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement is stepping down.
Shantay Jackson's resignation will be effective on June 30th.

Scott said in a statement that Jackson has been an integral part of his administration's work to treat violence as a public health issue and carry out Baltimore's Comprehensive Violence Prevention Plan.
Scott added that a strong team is in place to continue to move the work of MONSE forward.
